If it becomes clear that the research is not feasible, I will contact you as soon as possible.

I will not exceed the time or cost of the project without permission from you.

Payment includes time required for research, analysis, report and proposal writing and any communication with the client (except for the free initial consultation) Payment will be refunded if the research does not take as long as initially proposed.

It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that the details of any previous research have been given to Ancestor Trail to avoid any research being repeated.

Although every attempt will be made to find an ancestor (within the limits of the research plan, time and cost), there is no guarantee that any record will be found. Finding an ancestor depends on the survival and condition of the record and indeed the name of your ancestor being documented on a record.

If I am unable to help you, I will say so and suggest someone else who may be able to help you.

I accept payments by cheque (UK clients only) and bank transfer.  Once we have agreed upon a research plan and you have confirmed your payment method I will send you the appropriate invoice.
